WINNER: Zipping Summah. Picture: Max Mason-HubersZIPPING Willow is the early favourite for the group2 Black Top (515 metres) despite a poor draw in box five for the $40,000-to-the winner final at The Gardens on Friday night.

The Jason Mackay-trained star lived up to expectations in the heats on Friday night, overcoming a flat start in wet conditions from box seven to win by almost five lengths in 29.44 seconds.

The classy win, her 28th from 40 starts and ninth straight, was the second-fastest of the six heats and stamped the black bitch as the one to beat at $2.90 with the NSW Tab.

Mackay, from Richmond Vale, also qualified Zipping Summah for the decider. She led all the way, clocking 29.49, but also missed out at the draw. The black bitch will start from box four and was $7 yesterday.

Alan’s Kidz won in 29.66, drew box three and was rated at $9, Cloud Ten was successful in 29.59, drew box six and was $26, Miner’s Moss prevailed in 29.43, drew box seven and was $15 and Rose Of Galo took out the other heat in 29.47, drew box eight and was third favourite at $4.

Push It was second to Miner’s Moss but qualified on times and drew box one for the final to be second favourite at $3.80.

Hersi was the other qualifier on times after finishing second to Rose Of Galo. It was rated a $15 hope after drawing box two.

Tricky Rose and Kilkenny Babe are the reserves.
